How To PLay

Fowling is a fun hybrid game that combines football and bowling, where players aim to knock down pins by throwing a football. Here’s how to play:

Starting the Game:

  • Fowling is typically played by two players or teams.

  • Decide who goes first using rock, paper, scissors or another method.

Setup:

  • Place 10 bowling pins in a triangular formation on each side of the field (similar to bowling) at the opposite ends.

  • Each player has one football.

Gameplay:

  • Players take turns throwing the football from behind the foul line towards the opponent's pins.

  • The goal is to knock down all 10 pins.

  • Players may only take one throw per turn.

  • If a football bounces off the platform or any bowling pins, the opposing team has the chance to catch the ball.

  • If the opposing team catches the ball, they can add one pin back to the board, making it more challenging for the other team.

Scoring:

  • Players score by knocking down pins.

  • A “strike” is when a player knocks down all 10 pins on the first throw.

  • A “spare” is when a player knocks down all 10 pins on their second throw.

Winning the Game:

  • The first player or team to knock down all the pins wins the game.

  • If no one knocks down all pins in a given round, the game continues until all pins are knocked down.
